Q. Will it look good on me?

  • A. A trained Technician will customize the MOON Tans sunless airbrush tanning formula to your specific skin type providing you with a natural looking tan for your coloring.


Q. How is it done?

  • A. The customized MOON Tans sunless airbrush tanning formula is airbrushed onto your body and actually creates the same reaction in your skin as the sun does, but without any of the skin damage or harmful UV rays.


Q. Will I turn orange?

  • A. Because MOON Tans is not a dye, the results of your airbrush tanning session are very natural looking, customized to your skin type so you won’t experience the orange discoloration that you may have experienced in the past from other sunless tanning products.


Q. Is MOON Tans Safe?

  • A. DHA (Dihydroxyacetone) which is the active ingredient has been approved by the FDA for over 30 years. The sunless airbrush tanning application is safe, effective and takes as little as 30 minutes from start to finish. The solution takes 8-12 hours to fully develop and your tan will darken during this time.


Q. Will it ruin my clothes?
  • A. The sunless airbrush tanning solution is airbrushed onto you in a fine mist making most contact with clothing minimal. MOON Tans sunless airbrush tanning solution is water based and almost always washes out of clothing that it does come into contact with. Contact your salon for their policy on what is acceptable clothing to tan in. Once your tan is fully developed and you have showered, your tan is set and will not rub off on your clothes.


Q. How long will my tan last?
  • A. The length of time you will enjoy your MOON Tan involves various factors. The primary factor is how well you typically hold a natural tan along with how hydrated you keep your skin. On the average most clients enjoy their MOON Tan about 7-10 days before it has fully, naturally faded. Depending on what depth of color you wish to maintain will determine how often you need to have it redone. As with any tan, the more you moisturize, the longer you will keep your tan.
